Marcy Spivack was first diagnosed with cancer at the age of 40, she is now a 6 time cancer victor. She is a charter member of Cancer Support Community Delaware (CSCD), formerly The Wellness Community Delaware. In the early 1990′s friends invited her to lunch to hear about a new organization that would provide professional services at no charge, not only to cancer patients but to their significant others, children, and friends as well. She became involved immediately!
Cancer Support Community Delaware is a statewide nonprofit organization whose mission is to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. Members are adults, teens and children with cancer and their family members/caregivers. As all services are provided free of charge, the CSCD relies on the generosity of government, foundations, corporations and individuals to continue our programs.
